Los Roques sports and fun on catamaran Pitigüey
The catamaran Pitigüey run by Massimo and Cristina offers the opportunity to discover some of the most beautiful islands of Los Roques archipelago. The itinerary suggests visiting one island per day. Sailing from one island to another generally takes 2-3 hours while you can fish or relax under the sun.
Fishing is among the activities on board of catamaran Pitiguey. There are two kinds of fishing: fly fishing that is done by the flats to catch bonefish ans tarpon, and trolling that is practiced beyond the coral-reefs where you can catch big fishes such as barracudes, wahoos, snappers and tunas. Fishing is of course a sport but also a need on the boat since you are going to eat what have been caught.
Other activities are diving or snorkeling around the coral-reefs that is over 350 km long and watching the colorful fishes, corals, sponges and turtles that live here. Otherwise you can practice kite-surfing and windsurfing.

Life on board Pitigüey in Los Roques
What a better start than a nice swimming. Water has the excellent temperature of 27-29 grades and the weather in Los Roques is much milder all year round than in the rest of the other Caribbean islands. For breakfast you can taste a typical Venezuelan breakfast with fresh fruits jiuces, cakes, eggs and arepa (small donuts of corn). While sailing from one island to another you can fish and all caught fishes are cooked for lunch and dinner. If nothing has been fished, you still taste delicious spaghetti with lobster. During your vacation on Pitigüey you enjoy the real Venezuelan cuisine and its typical food such as ceviche and different soup's types. Everything is served with local good wine such as Gato Blanco and Los Vascos.
